Purpose of the study: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of how well an updated version of the COVID-19 vaccine works against newer variants of the virus compared to a placebo
Study Duration: Participation will be 6 months with either 3 visits total or if you opt in to additional blood work will be a total of 5 visits. Visit 1 & 2 will be a week apart, visit 3 will be 3 weeks after. Then there will be 3 phone calls about 2 months apart. For the additional bloodwork: visit 4 will be 2 months from Vs 3 and visit 5 will be 3 months from Vs 4. A twice-weekly e-Diary questionnaire must be completed during participation.
Compensation: Subjects will be compensated using a reloadable debit card called a Clincard, the compensation will be loaded onto their card within 24-48 hours after their visit.
You will be paid for completing the following visits and activities:
- On-Site Visit: $150
- Telephone Visit: $ 50
- Reactogenicity eDiary: $50 for completion of at least 5 of 7 days
- Illness eDiary: $10 per week with at least 2 entries completed
Ages 50-64 generally healthy.
Not had a COVID vaccine in the last 3 months
